Sadly, it has been a while since we’ve been to a Smashburger. My mouth waters just thinking about our last visit. I searched around the web and found the recipe for the sauce they use on their burgers, and just had to make it. I made up a batch of Smashburger sauce for grilled burgers last night and it was outstandingly good. And it was just as good for dipping French fries (in my case, sweet potato fries).

Smashburger sauce

There are two variations of this smashburger sauce on the web, one that uses dill pickle juice and one that uses lemon (which is probably more true to the actual sauce in the restaurant). I didn’t have a lemon on hand, so I went with the pickle juice and it was great. I’ll try lemon next time, but if you don’t have a lemon, just go with pickle juice and you’ll be very happy!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and the comment about the glaze for ham steak. I’ve had that recipe for-EVER and have made it so many times. Don’t you just love smash burger? This is the exact same recipe I have for a copycat for the sauce. Glad I found your blog.
