Smashburger Sauce

Sadly, it has been a while since we’ve been to a Smashburger. My mouth waters just thinking about our last visit. I searched around the web and found the recipe for the sauce they use on their burgers, and just had to make it. I made up a batch of Smashburger sauce for grilled burgers last night and it was outstandingly good. And it was just as good for dipping french fries (in my case, sweet potato fries).

SmashburgerThere are two variations of this sauce on the web, one that uses dill pickle juice and one that uses lemon (which is probably more true to the actual sauce in the restaurant). I didn’t have a lemon on hand, so I went with the pickle juice and it was great. I’ll try lemon next time, but if you don’t have a lemon, just go with pickle juice and you’ll be very happy!
