Taco Sauce

This taco sauce is dangerously close to being the same as the sauce you get in the little packets at Taco Bell. It’s very good over tacos.

I like my taco sauce to have a little heat, so I added a good bit of cayenne. Leave it out for a tasty, non-kicked-up version.

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes, whisking often. The sauce will thicken.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will keep for at least a week in the fridge.
