ground beef

sweet onion
diced

cup
green bell pepper
diced

celery
diced

tablespoon
brown sugar

tablespoon
white vinegar
½
teaspoon
dry mustard

ketchup

tablespoon
hot sauce
plus more, to taste
kosher salt
to taste
ground black pepper

hamburger buns
toasted if desired
Instructions
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over high heat.
Drain any excess fat.
Add all of the remaining ingredients except for the buns. Stir.
Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in more hot sauce as desired.
Serve on buns.
Notes
I love to serve these sandwiches with tater tots or onion rings!
