Rollin Wit Da Roux Food Truck

I’m continuing on my journey to sample many (or better, all) of the food trucks in and around Indianapolis. The food truck scene here is growing, with trucks offering all sorts of great varieties of food. One of my favorite things is when there’s a Cluster Truck, which is a gathering of several trucks at one place. It’s a great opportunity to sample several foods all at once, like the great food from the Rollin Wit Da Roux Food Truck.

The Shrimp Po Boy…

I’ve eaten at Rollin Wit Da Roux twice now, and each time I’ve ordered a po’boy. They have other things on the menu besides po’boys, but if you follow this blog at all you know I’m a po’boy addict.

The po’boys are straightforward – lettuce, tomato, remoulade, toasted bread, and whatever your topping is. They’re messy to eat. They’re supposed to be. My  motto is: Grab hold, dive in, and don’t put it down.

The shrimp po’boy was very tasty…

The Oyster Po Boy…

As was the oyster po’boy. I ordered mine with a little extra remoulade, which has a nice kick to it. Mmmmm. Good.

Rollin Wit Da Roux Food TruckI’m looking forward to trying the other items on the Rollin Wit Da Roux menu. My only complaint is that the food can sometimes take a while to get if you get to the truck right around opening time (usually 11am). It’s worth the wait, but I’d have scored them 5 ‘maters across the board on the ‘Mater Rater if they’d been fully set up when they opened.'Mater Rater Restaurant Score 5-4-5-5I love my Indianapolis food trucks. Sometimes they come and go, sometimes they turn into brick-and-mortar restaurants, sometimes their names change, and sometimes they last and last, serving up good food every time.
