Sure, I coulda got a sub for lunch. Ordered it delivered or driven down the street for it. But I wasn’t in the mood. Plus I’m all about making my lunch at home. I work here. I’m not going out to grab a sandwich. So I made a Jersey Mike’s Roast Beef and Provolone sub in a tub instead! And boy was it a mighty delicious salad! Fresh ingredients, ready in no time. And heck, I even felt better after eating it!
Note: As much as I love the ‘healthy’ part of eating subs in a tub, I love the ‘meaty’ part too. I admit, I often go a little overboard with the sandwich meats. And cheese. Adjust your quantities to suit you!

No Bread. No Worries.
Everything is here on my Jersey Mike’s Roast Beef And Provolone sub in a tub that can be found on the store-made sandwich. And even more, if I want. I can make this my way, on my schedule. I chop the lettuce and tomatoes the day before. On the day of lunch I just cut up some meat and cheese, add a little salt and pepper and I’m ready! Oh yeah! Dressing! For the dressing I just grab whatever suits my fancy! This isn’t complicated. Just a nice lunch.
No Rules…
There are not any really rules here. Guidelines, maybe. Suggestions as to what you should add. If you’re going to be strict and really duplicate the sub, you’re going to want to pretty much follow the ingredients below. But you can also treat them as just ideas, adding what else you love as you go!
…Except
Ok, I kind of lied. I do have one rule. But it’s not just about this salad. It’s about all salads. And that is: Season it. Always add a little salt and pepper to your salad at the end. Greens need seasoning. Tomatoes need it too. And so do onions. You don’t have to go crazy with it, but add some.
