I was making my standard burgers for dinner the other day. Nothing fancy. Still great, but pretty-straightforward and easy to make. I wanted a little something extra. Something to jazz them up a bit. They aren’t bad burgers to start with, nope. But some deluxe burger sauce might take them over the top, I figured. And I was right.
I’ll never get bored making burgers. Especially if it’s outside on a grill or griddle. I love the entire process, from making the patties to polishing off that last bite. Every burger can be different, if only slightly. And any burger can benefit from a great sauce, like this one!

A Well-Balanced Simple Sauce
If I had to come up with one word to describe this deluxe burger sauce I’d say ‘balanced’. It’s a little sweet. Oh and there’s a little heat. There are some classic burger flavors, too. And a little of that umami thing. So a bit of everything. Nothing overpowering yet not boring. Great on a burger. That’s what I was after.
Adjusting the heat level is easy, of course. I wouldn’t go crazy trying to make this a spicy sauce, though. You don’t want to bury any of the flavors. If my mouth is on fire I can’t taste the other ingredients. What would be the point in that? So back to my ‘balanced’ them. Keep it spicy, but not so much.
I store my homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out thirty minutes to an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot food!- Ample quantity: You will receive 8 pieces of…

Need Something?
Always stir your sauce before using. Especially if it has been sitting in the fridge for a bit. And give it a taste, too. Even though this recipe doesn’t specifically call for it, you might want to add a bit of salt or pepper after the sauce has been sitting. So give it a taste and see!
