Cheese Sauce

This is my go-to, super easy, cheese sauce. I use it mostly on vegetables, and often on baked potatoes. It’s also great on hot dogs and hamburgers. You need a cheesy sauce, this is the one. It has just the right consistency. You don’t want it too runny. You don’t want it to be all gloppy. This is right down the middle, perfect.

Cheese Sauce

Substitute a Monterey Jack cheese for a nice white sauce, or pepperjack for something a little kicked up. You can also add things like chopped roasted chiles or jalapenos to give it even more heat.

This sauce is the boss on my cheesy mushroom baked potatoes and my cheesy broccoli baked potatoes.

Southwestern Sauce

This is my go-to sauce for anything Southwestern. I use it on grilled stuffed Fritos, as a dip for chips, as a dunking sauce for pigs-in-a-blanket or chicken nuggets, on tacos, as a substitute for mayonnaise on a ham sandwich… you name it!

Grilled Stuffed Fritos

This sauce is also fantastic on crispy corn fritters.

Creole Meatball Sauce

This is the sauce I use on my Creole meatballs if I am serving them over pasta or on meatball sandwiches. The meatballs already have some kick, so this sauce is a little more mellow. But, if you want more heat, just substitute Rotel tomatoes for the diced tomatoes and pucker up!

How can you pass up a Creole meatball sub sandwich, smothered in this great sauce?

Creole Meatballs and Spaghetti

I double or even triple this recipe to make sure I always have some sauce on hand. It freezes well and makes for a quick and easy dinner over noodles.

This sauce is also fantastic on my Creole pizza.

Maple Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

If you like the twang of mustard with a hint of sweet, then this maple honey mustard dipping sauce is the sauce for you. Keep that bottle of ketchup in the fridge. Try something new. Although the recipe calls for Dijon, you can use any of your favorite mustards. We’ve found Creole and spicy mustards to be great too!

Maple Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

We use this maple honey mustard dipping sauce for dipping chicken fingers and corn dogs and yes, even French fries. For a little more kick, add some hot sauce. But make sure you use real maple syrup. The fake stuff isn’t actually maple syrup, it’s made from corn syrup. Only the real stuff has that true maple flavor.

Kaw-Cajun Comeback Sauce

I put Kaw-Cajun Comeback sauce on just about anything. Po boys. Regular sandwiches (making them not just regular!). Wraps. Anything. I make a big squeeze bottle of this sauce and keep it on hand because it’s sooooo darned good and goes on darned near everything.

Kaw-Cajun Comeback Sauce

This recipe for Kaw-Cajun Comeback sauce comes from Chez John from Fat Johnny’s Front Porch. Do not omit the grated onion and garlic – they really make this sauce a keeper. If you cannot find Cajun Power Sauces where you are you can order them online. Although you can substitute other sauces, this sauce is best made with Cajun Power. It’s also fantastic on chicken wings.

Here are some of our favorite uses for this sauce.
